Natural Detox Process

Your body has a natural detoxification process in order to cleanse itself from toxins. But, what are these toxins? Generally speaking, toxins can be defined as all the substances and chemicals that hinder the normal functioning of the body and harm the health. There are two main groups of toxins: exotoxins and endotoxins. Exotoxins come from outside sources and are inhaled or swallowed. Examples are polluted air and water, cigarette smoke, alcohol, medications, food preservatives, and household chemicals. Endotoxins are created internally by the body. They can come from undigested food and damaged cells, organs, and tissues.

Detoxification is the process of eliminating the toxins from the body. Natural detoxification is the responsibility of five systems in your body: the respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, excretory system, lymphatic system, and the cardiovascular system.

Respiratory system helps to detoxify the air that you breathe in by purifying it in your lungs. This makes some toxins leave the body with the exhaling.

Gastrointestinal system helps to clear the body of the waste products. Waste products are leftovers of the digestion process, when the consumed food is digested and the necessary nutrients are absorbed.

Excretory system helps to detoxify the body by eliminating the waste products and harmful toxins of the body by means of bowel movement, urine, and sweat.

Lymphatic system and cardiovascular system produce antibodies and certain white blood cells to fight harmful organisms, which can cause disease and weaken the immune system.

As you see, the human body is completely equipped to detoxify and keep itself clean and healthy. Good immune system is in place when all the systems are working effectively to defend the body against attacks of harmful chemicals and microorganisms.

Those are the good news, but we live in a toxic world and everyone has their own level of tolerance when it comes to toxins. And, once you reach your tolerance level, a number of different symptoms begin to appear. If toxins continue to be added to your system, and there is no more capacity to eliminate them, the body becomes completely overwhelmed. This usually leads to chronic and degenerative diseases.

In order to live a long and healthy life, you need to keep your internal organs and your immune system in tact. Using herbal supplements can help you get healthier, prevent future health problems, and stay healthy for many years.
